La Fonte Des Glaces

"La Fonte Des Glaces" consists of some 28,000 stamp strokes in the shape of melting ice. The intensity of the blacks recreates the majestic Aletsch glacier, the largest in the Alps. Like all its congeners, its days are numbered. Since 1880, the Aletsch glacier has retreated 2,800 metres. In the last two years (2022 and 2023), Swiss glaciers have lost 10% of their ice volume. At this rate, our landscapes will have to do without these blue tongues of ice and their benefits by the end of the century.
