Ink on cloth canvas
2024
This is an Indian ink reproduction of the Théodule glacier, made up of around 23,000 repetitions of a stamp in the shape of an excavator. In mid-October 2023, the press reported that three machines had been at work for several weeks on this Swiss glacier, preparing the slopes for the first event of the upcoming alpine ski season. Images of the excavators reshaping the glacier quickly made the rounds on social networks, drawing the ire of the local population. The race was eventually cancelled due to bad weather. This time, nature had the last word.
